Adrian W. Munro
Adrian joined Highfield Investment Group as President in 2004 and manages the company’s operations including the oversite of joint ventures, partnerships, and land portfolio. In addition, Adrian manages Highfields’ commercial portfolio, farming operation, and thoroughbred racing & breeding operation. Applying his 18 years of experience in senior financial roles, he is also responsible for new investment opportunities.
One of Adrian’s greatest strengths is the ability to solve difficult business problems through creativity and collaboration. At High Plains Industrial Park, Adrian has developed a strategic partnership with Olds College to implement a sophisticated eco-stormwater management system, the first project in North America to facilitate the research of aquatic species and their functions in wetlands in a cold climate environment. This innovative water management system also creates a superior water supply for water-heavy tenants in the industrial park.
Prior to his tenure with Highfield Investment Group, Adrian held key roles with IBM in the United States, including Lead Financial Analysist for IBM’s Boeing contract, Financial Manager of Central Region Data Centers, and Commercial Contracts Manager. In these roles, he led teams of financial analysists and was responsible for a broad portfolio of commercial contracts. Adrian graduated as class valedictorian from the University of Texas Pan-American. He has completed the Certified Management Accountant exams and the Certified Professional Accountant program in the United States.
Dennis has over twenty-five years’ experience in the land development industry. His breadth of industry expertise spans municipal, commercial, and residential development. As an acting partner in HLM, Dennis specializes in land development approvals, relationship management, and entitlements.
Dennis began his career as a planner for the City of Edmonton. In 1997, he moved to Calgary, where he also worked as a municipal planner. His search for challenging opportunities has taken him to TDL, the commercial real estate arm of Tim Horton’s, and to Melcor. At Melcor, he acted as Vice President of the Western Canada division, and expanded the company’s profile throughout the region.
Not only does Dennis have an intimate knowledge of Calgary and southern Alberta’s land development landscape, he is also well versed in the municipal approvals process. He is an expert at taking raw land through the entitlement process and turning that land into dynamic and sustainable communities. HLM’s values – integrity, accountability, and transparency – are his own, and his commitment to those values allows Dennis to bring his best to HLM’s investors and home buyers.
